Summary
Alex Day joins Stugotz and the crew today, and he reminds everyone of a young Stugotz—if he cheered for more successful teams. The guys discuss Michigan beating UConn to win the NCAA title for the first time since 1989. With a starting five of transfers, Dusty May built the perfect roster for this era of college basketball. Stugotz gets Alex’s opinion on Taylor saying he wouldn’t trade Cam Schlittler for Paul Skenes. And finally, after 10 games, Taylor is ready to debut his MLB team tiers.

| 0:19.4 | I honestly, until after the segment ended and we went to commercial break, had no idea that Jonathan Coachman was black. He caused them the game last night, although they won the game. You're listening to Stugats and Company. It is Stugats and Company, presented by Fandall and the Fandall Sportsbook. Alex Day sitting in with us. We appreciate it. He's a host on the Yes Network. Also host Heat Check Trivia. And he's been described, and only by Taylor, Alex. He's been described as Stugats when Stugats cared about sports. I am fucking offended by that. I mean, I got to be honest with you. I'll completely take that. I'll sign up for that any day of the week. And I've heard Taylor say this before, but it always leads to me to more questions. When did you stop caring about sports? Is it when you started your sports show? That's certainly, well, it certainly coincided with that because when you host a show, it kind of blurs you as a sports fan, right? Because you're just constantly watching stuff. You're not enjoying it. You're just thinking about the take you're going to have the next day. But there's a direct correlation between when I stopped caring about sports and when my kids were born, you know? I mean, cared about them less. I don't care about them as much. I don't want to say I don't care about them. I just don't want to stay up to late 50 to watch an NCAA championship game that I don't really fucking care about. I prioritize. How about that? They need to move the start of these games up a little bit. And I know they'll have the West Coast audience who's happy about it. Find me |
| 1:44.8 | West Coast fans who as a collective care as much about their sports as East Coast fans. I know that's |
| 1:49.9 | East Coast bias. Yes. You know what? Look at the numbers. I have a feeling if you were sitting |
| 1:56.1 | in rush hour traffic at 5.50 in the afternoon in L.A., you would object to that being a sports fan. You know what I'm saying? A hundred percent. I lived in L.A. for a couple months. I loved it out there. I would wake up at 9.30 in the morning to go to the bar and watch the Giants at 10 a.m. and I was the only one in there. That's all I'm going to say. If your hearts in it, you'll make it work. Right. Do you fancy yourself a younger Stu Gautz that cares about sports? Is that, I mean... |
| 2:22.1 | Absolutely. I'm about to change my Instagram bio to that. |
| 2:26.6 | What are you going to change it to? |
| 2:28.9 | Younger's two gods when he cared about sports. Except a Yankees fan and the Giants fan. |
| 2:34.8 | Yes. |
| 2:35.3 | So I think important disclaimer. |
| 2:36.7 | So lucky. |
| 2:37.7 | I think it's, I think it is a bit unfair to characterize Stugats as not caring about |
| 2:42.9 | sports. |
| 2:43.5 | He just kind of shifted where his priorities are. |
