Naomi and Eric, welcome to the podcast. Thanks for having us. So, you know, I should start off by saying

we are a bipartisan podcast. And as as such we have a number of listeners

who probably after they heard the title of your book are thinking themselves something like

great there's another anti-capitalism scree from the progressive left but I don't think it

would be really fair to say that you're anti-capitalism.

And so I thought we could start with that.

And maybe, Naomi, if you want to start with this, how would you characterize your view of capitalism and big business in the book?

Well, you're absolutely right.

We're not anti-capitalism.

What we're really doing is trying to call attention to a set of myths about capitalism,

myths that we think have been destructive because they've prevented us from using capitalism

in a way that benefits all people and that protects the environment, protects workers.
