Yeah, this is a cool one and I really wanted to have you to get that local

perspective I wanted to have two people who knew this store now I don't know

about you because you went to a different high school than me but Big Ben's convenience store

I think I had lunch there at least three times a week for like the three years that I was in high school like you know this store pretty well.

Oh yeah this store to me

was the Halloween store the cool that one of the most exciting things about

Halloween the weeks leading up would be the display window at Big Bends.

There'd be all these really dark scary, like really elaborate masks in the window

and I always liked every year seeing what they had up in the window. Yeah I kind of forgot about that but I did the same my dad would take me there not even to shop for masks. No just a look at what they had and they must have like the owner must have had some kind of

connection or something because they weren't like the typical masks you'd see for sale they

were like high-end like kind of like silicone yeah like you could imagine today

ordering is paying $500 for them off Amazon or something, you know, they were kind of like really, I don't know where, you know, in the early 90s you would get masks like that but the every year they always had about 30 or 40

of them displayed up and it was always really exciting to go in and not necessarily

buy them because they're a price here but just to look at them it was it was cool.
