Communication is a matter of signals and noise. When you're trying to triangulate or rather tune into a signal that's maybe coming from across state, you're having to dial it in and find, okay, where is the music, the speech, where is the static?

And so you have to figure out how to sift through what is actually intended to be said and what is not intended to be said.

And so in marriage, we have that on both ends of it.

I can send a message with a whole lot of static.

And you can receive nothing but message or nothing but static.

But you have to discern what is static, what is message.

Right.

Well, and would you agree that it's a sign of maturity when a couple can work through a miscommunication?

Mm-hmm. a miscommunication.

All right.

So this week, once again, we are taking a little bit of a break from our plagues series where we're talking through common issues that people have written in.

We did an analysis and found themes and surfaced from those themes

10 plagues. We've been through two of the plagues. But because we are, as we're recording this,

gearing up to speak at a marriage seminar that is focused on communication, this is just very timely.
