Pastor Gary asked me to create an Tista series several weeks ago, and little did we know how timely it would be.

The Constitution and the Supreme Court have been at the very forefront of virtually all conversations in recent days, and with good reason.

After 49 years of suffering under Roe v. Wade, the Supreme Court

reversed course and did the right thing, and we, praise God. Amen.

But tonight in the next two Wednesday nights afterwards, the series is designed to teach broader principles, showing how biblical thinking has influenced some of the most important components of our Constitution.

And it's not just about reviewing cases, although we're going to talk about some cases.

My original plan for the session tonight for the first

session hasn't really changed very much because of the timing of the Dobbs case. In fact,

to correctly understand Dobbs fully, it's really best if you can consider some of the important

foundational principles, both from a biblical perspective and a constitutional perspective, those foundational principles that we're going to

cover tonight.

And understanding those principles will make our review of the Dobbs case more clear, and I hope,

more meaningful for you.

Because this really is a historical decision in a very broad sense not just on the issue of

life but on other very important constitutional issues as well so i want to start by turning
