If you're anything like me, you might not be in love with small talk.

Now look, small talk is necessary and required and frankly polite sometimes, right?

If you're meeting someone even for the first and last time if you're waiting for an elevator if you're ever carpooling whatever the situation is small talk is required you talk about the weather you talk is required. You talk about the weather, you talk about

gentle things, you talk about the surroundings, the food, the people you have in common.

I get it. There is a place for it and learning to be good at, like to be good

at small talk is also a really great skill.

I find that just simply asking questions and keeping the conversation topics light is where it's at.

topics with people. I want to know what is exciting them about their life. I want to know what

they're working on. I want to know what their passions are. I want to know. And I actually like to get to these topics of

conversation if time allows pretty quickly with people.

So I want to share with you some of my favorite kind of comments or statements

that I love to make to have richer, deeper conversations,

which frankly creates richer, deeper relationships with new people or

with people in your life who you've known for years even with your close existing friends,

May. My in-laws are here from Australia, we're having a blast. I love them so much and it's easy to talk about all sorts of things right people what's going on with a family travel plans

My brother-in-law's getting married in Australia later this year. So there's lots of things we could talk about, right? So food, venue, etc, etc. I mean we can talk, talk about anything. But I want to know the deep stuff, right? The stuff that really connects us on a human level.
