Hey everybody, welcome back. I am Larry Womor and you are listening to Black on the

0:10.8

Air. This is the last one of 2017 you guys, the last Black on the Air. Not of all time,

0:17.5

just of 2017. I want to thank everybody for listening this year, making our podcast

0:23.0

special. As I said, we were time-exing called us the fifth best podcast in their top 10

0:29.4

of the year. Keep the word out there and keep giving me your feedback who you'd like to

0:34.9

hear on the show, that type of thing. We're going to continue to do live events, which is

0:38.4

a lot of fun. We haven't come up in San Francisco, I believe in early February. And hopefully

0:44.2

we can come to where you are too at some point. That would be great. It would be so much fun.

0:48.0

Today, the end of the year, we're going to do a special kind of best of some moments from

0:53.1

some of our favorite podcasts this past year. We'll hear from Neil deGrasse Tyson,

0:58.9

Sam Malcolm Gladwell, O'Esa Ray, and maybe some others too. I think you'll enjoy that. It'll be

1:07.4

fun. So I don't know, what a year it's been. The only thing I'd like to talk about real quick,

1:12.7

the couple of things to me are the biggest things of this past year. The big thing was the

1:18.3

assignments breakers. The whole Me Too movement where women are telling their stories. People

1:24.8

are listening to revelations of some monsters who were hiding in plain sight, some people who were

1:32.2

called to account for horrible behavior. And it's breathtaking. I mean, what has happened this year,

1:38.4

it's really amazing. And I hope that it does lead to a real change in our society and a real

1:45.2

relationship change and how we deal with each other and how women have demonstrated. And then

1:53.1

eyes are really open on this issue. I hope so. And then the other big thing this year, to me,

2:00.6

is the Trump administration and the normalization of just Trump lying. And it's so ironic that those

2:07.4

are two big things. And the assault, and ironically, for me, one of the most disappointing things is

2:16.5

the Trump administration, to me, ends with an assault on women. And I'll explain that.
