I'm Kevin Allison, and this week what we have for you is the best of

controversial stories stories we ran that got listeners saying, well saying all kinds of stuff, stories that kind of made

waves when we put them out. In a little bit we're going to hear from Bruce A Smith, a story that was previously only available

But first, we have a story from Jupiter, Diego.

You know, when Risk started, I was always eager

to see if maybe some of the older wilder performance artists and underground

scenesters of the 70s and 80s like Annie Sprinkle and John Waters and Yoko Ono. Folks like that could do the show.

Well, it's always been hard to get folks who aren't familiar with risk to prepare something that suits the show, you know, that

colors within the lines that we've established, but especially so with older revolutionary artists who are used to doing

things however they want. Jupiter Diego was a character to say the least.

He was known for storytelling in the New York downtown scene, but in a performance artist

kind of way, like Lori Anderson or Master Lee and as a larger-than-life persona he was

quite beloved it's hilarious to me now that he was on NPR of all things back in the day because by 2017

...
