| 0:14.0 | Let's talk about the absolute best exercise for diabetes, as well as predibies, |
| 0:21.0 | and insulin resistance, which is pretty much 60 to 70% of the population. |
| 0:27.0 | Now, there's two types of exercise you have aerobic, and you have anaerobic. |
| 0:31.0 | Aerobic means with oxygen, and anaerobic means without oxygen. |
| 0:35.0 | So, aerobic exercise would be more slower type workouts like walking and yoga, |
| 0:41.0 | that you basically can talk to someone while you're exercising because you can breathe at the same time. |
| 0:46.0 | Whereas anaerobic is without oxygen, so it's more high intense. |
| 0:50.0 | It's shorter. It's more difficult to talk to someone while you're working out. |
| 0:54.0 | So, some examples of anaerobic exercise would be high intense, short bursts of exercise |
| 1:01.0 | with a good amount of rest back and forth, because you're tapping into certain energy sources |
| 1:05.0 | from your muscles to provide fuel. |
| 1:08.0 | And apparently you don't need oxygen to have this happen. |
| 1:11.0 | Like in your car, you have a carburetor, you have oxygen that's put in there with the fuel, |
| 1:15.0 | and it mixes with the spark plug. |
| 1:17.0 | Well, when you run your body on an anaerobic system, you don't need oxygen. |
| 1:21.0 | The problem is you can't go over it far. |
| 1:24.0 | So, we have aerobic, and we have anaerobic. |
| 1:27.0 | Now, with aerobic exercise, the first 20 minutes, you're burning up your stored glycogen, |
| 1:33.0 | your stored sugar, and then after that your body starts tapping into fat. |
