Surprise party! I tell you this story knowing full well that I'm a pompous fuckwad and I'm on a beer podcast and that affords a lot of beery things for me.

And there's a lot of beery tropes that I tend to fall into.

The other day, I went to Jester King, was just going to show up and have a beer, and they

were having a supper club.

So it was a big spread of food paired with beer.

I didn't necessarily understand that this was happening.

I was just going to go there and have a beer. But my old roommate, Nate, was there.

And he had paid in.

And it was all just family style.

And he's sitting there and he's like, you should come have some of this food.
