Well, I'll tell you, it's a test invented by queer cartoonist Alison Bechtel.

It's a media test that requires that two female identifying characters, they have to have names,

dive a little bit deeper into the origins of the Bechdel test than we normally do because I think

it's especially relevant for this movie that we're discussing.

So, Jamie, as you said, Alison Bechdel Queer icon inadvertently created the Bechdel test in her book, Dikes to Watch Out for, which was published in 1985.
