Today I have two goals, and it really depends upon when you're walking.

Hi, I'm Dave. I've been walking for fitness since 2013,

averaging just under 21,000 steps a day.

I am walking right now and would love to have you join me for the next 10 minutes or so. I am walking early in the morning.

I've got what I call early daylight, but the sun is not up yet. Skies are mostly clear. You can

tell it's a little breezy. Temperature, though, is mild, but by this afternoon, we are told it'll reach 90 degrees, throw the humidity in,

and it's going to be, as they say, a famously hot day here in South Carolina.

We're in this kind of stretch of weather that is, It's been increasingly getting warmer each day,

but really nice.

We, Dave and I went out for our evening walk last night,

and I can't tell you how many people that we passed, that we saw, that we spoke to, who either they said to us or we said to them, it's a beautiful evening for a walk, Bob. Beautiful, just beautiful. It really was. And that continues today.

So here's what I want to talk about this morning. I want to talk about walking early in the morning, which is what I'm doing right now.

And this may feel like a familiar theme, like I just discussed this. And I did. About two

weeks ago, talked about how a morning walk can change your day. And that was more from the perspective

of productivity, how walking in the morning can help you be more productive

as the day goes on. It can set you up to have a better day. And use the example of Harry Truman,

who was a lifelong walker and walked every morning, even president for a mile or two and the impact that that
