The British Broadcasting Company, also known as BBC News, is a British public broadcasting network based in London, England, that was founded in 1922 under a royal charter.

It's the oldest and largest local and global broadcaster, currently employing around 21,000 staff members.

And it offers a variety of content on television, radio, and the internet. According to

their website, they're an impartial independent broadcaster that creates distinctive world-class

programs and content, which inform, educate, and entertain millions of people in the UK and around

the world. The BBC broadcasts everything from news and weather to sports and culture and more.

Sadly, though, the BBC has held a mound of secrets, lies, crimes, and cover-ups over the

last several decades that were never publicly talked about until the death of one infamous

member of their own party, Jimmy Saville.

With long gray hair, John Lennon-style glasses,

and a cigar always hanging out of his crooked mouth, Jimmy Saville was an English media

personality and DJ who was well known to the public for his quirky image and for his work as a host

for popular BBC shows Top of the Pops, a British music chart show, and Jim will fix it, a children's show that

involved children viewers writing letters to Saville with a wish that would come true at the end of

each episode. Now, Jimmy Saville definitely had an odd personality, and he was often seen on TV

kissing random women and flirting with anyone who crossed his path. Needless to say, before his

death, most of the UK loved him. But after his death in 2011, hundreds, yes, hundreds,

of sexual abuse allegations began to pop up, which resulted in numerous investigations. And what

police ended up discovering made them believe that Jimmy Saville was one of Britain's most prolific pedophiles, one of the worst predators of all time.

The numbers we'll discuss later in this episode are truly just astounding.
