Last night, the Tigers threw a lefty, so Sandoval was on the bench. This is sort of the new model or the new normal with the Red Sox. That Sandoval would play against right-ees, not against lefties. But tonight, another right-hander from the Phillies, and Sandoval's on the bench

again. So this is now three days in a row, two against right-handed starters, that Pablo

Sandoval has not been in the starting lineup for the Red Sox. That's where we're going to begin

tonight, because I thought the Red Sox were getting close to releasing Pablo, and now it doesn't feel that way, but I do have a solution for them, which we'll get through here in a minute.

Red Sox open a two-game series against the Phillies tonight.

It's really a four-game series, two in Boston, two in Philly. So it's the same opponent, home and home. You'll get Philadelphia for four nights. The Red Sox should win three of them, if not all four. They certainly should win both games in Boston. But again, that's a bigger picture story. I do have a question for you on the Red Sogg's bigger picture.
