And Hyam Bloom subsequently did a press conference via Zoom call the next day where he started

to outline the team's plans for the off season.

So I thought it would be a good time to post our first podcast of the off season here

and give my thoughts on a couple of things that are out there.

So first and foremost, let's start with the off season because the quarter news is a little older.

And for those of you who don't have access to the entirety of the Bloom press conferences,

there's always some stuff in there that I think is noeworthy.

So Bloom was asked about the possibility of the Red Sox signing free agents who have received

qualifying offers.

And those free agents, for those of you who don't know, are players to whom compensation

is attached.

Meaning if you were to sign these players, you have to give up draft compensation,

international bonus money or a combination of those things.
