Ryan McGee, you are working on New Year's Eve. You were in the peach ball press box.

You were there as George An Ohio State were fighting to make the national title game

in one of the most dramatic finishes to any game and any year that I have ever seen.

And so as the ball was just about to drop in time square, what was it like where you

were?

I had our friend Ryan C. Crest on the phone while the play is happening because I'm one

of these that have always complained about having these games on New Year's Eve anyway.

We've got 49 seconds until the new year. We're all going to count it down together.

Wait, you second screen C. Crest? Yeah, because I wanted to see it coming. Like I was like,

oh my gosh, this is going to happen. Like this is all going to happen at once.

And low and behold, that kick went up in the air. I mean, as the countdown was getting

to zero. And it was, it was beautiful and kind of awful all at the same time.

It's on the way. No good. He got sick. And Georgia is going to survive at the stroke of

midnight the first few seconds of 2023. Ohio State falls one kick short.

In by the way, let's give Ryan C. Crest credit. That guy went to Georgia. And so I give him

credit because he was able to maintain focus on the job at hand. But I know there was a

little voice in the back of Ryan C. Crest. Mine saying, hey, what do you think has happened

at the beach ball right now? So I should say that I misspoke actually. You were not second

screening C. Crest. You were first screening C. Crest because you were physically present

witnessing that kick get muffed not even close by the way. That is what happened. Wide

left advancing. Yes. Ryan C. Crest bulldogs to their second straight college football

championship. But when that happened, who did you look to first for their reaction?
