In our series on the cross, it's called returning to the cross, we are talking about

what the role of the cross of Christ is for you today.

Paul in Ephesians chapter one,

he spent the first section of the chapter talking about the cross

and all the privileges and rights and benefits that come.

And he even says in 14 about the Holy Spirit who delivers these benefits,

who is given as a pledge of our inheritance with a view to the redemption of God's own

possession to the praise of His glory. In other words, God doesn't want you to have

to go to heaven before you taste it. God wants you to have a down payment now of the heaven

you're going to. Back up to verse 3, Blessed Be the God and Father of our

Lord Jesus Christ who has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in

heavenly places. Everything God is ever going to do for you,

he's already done. Notice the word E.D. is on the word blessed. It has already

occurred. Everything God is ever going to do for you in time has already been placed in the deposit box.

It's already been made available.
