Brendan Banfield, a former IRS criminal investigator, is accused of orchestrating a chilling double murder of a man named Joseph Ryan and his own wife, Christine.

Prosecutors allege Banfield lured Joseph Ryan to his home early in the morning to make him appear as an intruder coming to kill his wife with a knife.

Brendan Banfield allegedly shot Ryan and then stabbed his own wife with help from his lover.

The family au pair, Juliana Magales.

Juliana was the first to be arrested and charged in the case,

but she then admitted her guilt and will be the star witness in the case against the husband,

Brendan Banfield, who claims his innocence.
