Well, welcome to Breakpoint this week and no, I'm not Maria with a cold.

I'm Bob Dittner, the executive producer of Breakpoint and Breakpoint this week and

Maria is off on vacation and so filling in on short notice here John on a really

eventful week.

There has been so much going on with politics,

with the Convention for the Republican National Committee,

and also then, of course, what happened last weekend,

the attempted assassination on President Trump, and it has

spawned so much controversy and discussion over God's hand in all of this and, you know,

God protected President Trump, there's no doubt about that God has a hand in all of human history

but yet then we see a firefighter who was a devoted dad and a devoted Christian who loses his life

while protecting his family.

How do you square those two seemingly contradictory

suggestions and items?

Yeah, well that's a great question.
