And Washington, a bunch of dipships have gathered to rededicate themselves to a 250-year

experiment.

Well, they call it rededicating it to God, you know, but we've never been dedicated to God.

The original Constitution counted enslaved people as three-fifths of a person.

It protected the slave trade for two decades while tolerating it for an additional 80 years.

It returned escaped human beings to bondage.

It granted women no vote and no equal standing.

Every one of those clauses sits comfortably beside a Bible that orders slaves to

obey their masters, permits buying them from neighboring nations, and tells wives to submit

and women to be silent. Is that what they mean by rededicating? Alabama senators want to revoke

black Americans, uh, black American citizenship by repealing

the 14th Amendment.

And others are actively seeking to reverse women's suffrage while attempting to put

them back in the kitchen.

So maybe that's what they mean by rededicating to God.

The Constitution is antithetical to every supposed progressive

ideal Christians hold today. Every step towards justice came by amending that document away from

the most of those original values. The 13th, 14th, and 19th amendments are in direct opposition

to biblical ethics and morality. The Constitution

itself names no God, no Bible, and no Christ. Article 6 bars religious tests for office, while the

God of the Bible kills entire cities for worshiping anything else. The First Amendment protects

worship of any God, all gods, or no gods.
