Religion is not great at getting people to the truth because it trains you to stop asking

about how you know what is true. From the start, the lesson is believe first, question later,

if at all. Early critics of Christianity have long pointed this out. Kelsus was quoted by origin

as saying, do not ask questions, just believe. Your faith will save you. The wisdom of this world is evil.

And this is in line with Jesus' teachings. Jesus said that all must come to him like a child. And in John

2029, he says, blessed are they who believe without having seen? Instead of critical thinking,

religion teaches loyalty. Instead of evidence, it offers authority. Instead of changing its mind when it's wrong, it just calls doubt a moral failure. That is not a pathway to truth. That's a pathway to certainty without understanding. And certainty can be comforting, but comfort has never been a reliable method for discovering what is actually

real. If your belief system treats critical thinking as a threat, it's not guiding you towards

truth, it's protecting itself from truth. But if you have evidence for God or gods that are real,
