Sometimes we read about dramatic victories in the Bible and we mistakenly assume they have little relevance for today.

Sure, God brought the Israelites across the Red Sea on dry land,

but does he truly care about the barriers we face in the here and now?

Today, on Insight for Living, Chuck Swindall restores our confidence

in the timeless power of God. His confidence is based, not in his own convictions, but on the

promises recorded in God's word.

This is message number eight in the biographical series called The Greatest Life of All. Our Father we admit to you and we confess that our life is really in you, our strength and hope, it's in you.

And so we praise you with all of our lives,

with our voices as we lift them to you.

For some, it's a joyful noise to the Lord for others it's a harmonic blending of notes from

trained to vocal chords for others it's a brand new expression because many have come who've never learned to sing of their faith.

And mixed into this place, inside this building are people from all walks of life, and that's the way you like it.

We don't come as a secret sect or club or some kind of a prejudiced group full of traditionalism, we're coming still learning

one another's names and still finding our way through this thing called the Christian life.

And so I pray that you will make this time of worship

an uninterrupted pleasant delight from this moment through the message of this morning

speak to us speak through your word and in the balance of this week speak through us to others. In the lovely name of Christ we ask this and everyone said,
