It’s December 26th. This day in 1951 — actually on Christmas Day — Florida activists Harry and Harriette Moore are killed by a bomb planted under their home.

Now this incident actually took place on December 25th, Christmas Day, in Mims, Florida, which is on the eastern

The explosion killed both of them and this marks the first assassination of any activists to

occur during the civil rights movement of the 50s and 60s.
