| 0:11.0 | This is the Feast of the Ascension and we are in the midst of our novena leading up to the Feast of Pentecost next Sunday. So let us beg God for an increase |
| 0:27.2 | of the Holy Spirit and his sevenfold gifts to make us bold in our mission. And let us offer this |

| 0:46.1 | After the ascension of Jesus, the apostles went back to Jerusalem full of joy. |
| 0:52.6 | Why in the world would the apostles rejoice at the definitive departure of Jesus. |
| 1:00.0 | They were full of joy because the apostles knew that Jesus ascended into heaven, |
| 1:02.5 | and heaven is where God is. |
| 1:08.3 | By the gift of the Holy Spirit, God dwells in your soul. |
| 1:17.1 | Therefore, Jesus now lives within you. The kingdom of heaven is within. This is the greatest reason to rejoice. If Jesus had not ascended to heaven after the resurrection, |
| 1:23.8 | then we would have to go and find him wherever he was on earth. |
| 1:28.1 | We might have to travel halfway around the world. |
| 1:31.6 | We would always be separated from him by space, earthly distance. |
| 1:37.2 | But because he has ascended into heaven, he now dwells in us, literally in our soul. |
