I traveled to Norway and found an idea for the White House Correspondents Association. The organizers of the SKUP investigative journalism conference invited me to speak about how to cover Trump. The event, complete with an awards gala, should serve as a model for the White House Correspondents Dinner. Forget about inviting Trump and other VIP’s. Just honor good journalism, hand out awards and scholarships. The Norwegians do it every year and it’s a tremendous bonding experience for the nation’s journalists.
And here is the session that opened up the conference that included yours truly. Special thanks to EKKO presenter and host Jeannette Platou and Kristoffer Rønneberg, foreign correspondent for Aftenposten, along with the entire SKUP Norway team for hosting the session. SKUP has kindly shared their video feed of the event.
