It's time for Justice Matters with former federal prosecutor and MS NBC analyst Glenn Kirchner. Today Glenn has a special holiday message about racial equality and justice.

So friends on this day, Martin Luther King Junior Day, we celebrate, but I think we also

have to recognize that these remain perilous times for our nation the fight for racial equality,

for basic decency, for fairness.

And I think we all recognize that we have a long way to go.

Can we take a minute to talk about that because justice, equal justice, matters.

First of all friends, happy Martin Luther King

Junior Day. On this day, on this national holiday,

I think we should acknowledge the progress we've made on the

racial equality front, but goodness. We have so much farther to go and frankly I think we all recognize that we have

backslid in recent years under the reign of you know who I hate to even defile this short video by calling out his name

But on this MLK junior, I put pen to paper.

I drafted just a short paragraph of my thoughts about today,

what it means, and where we might be headed.

So if you'll indulge me, I'd like to read just a short paragraph.

This is going to be a short video.

And I want to start with my favorite Martin Luther King Jr quote you all know it I'm sure you can

recite it by heart the arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice.
