I like to start with something funny each week and I heard about this elderly preacher. He was dying. He sent word for two of his members and our as agent and a lawyer to come to his house.

When they got there, he motioned with his hands to sit on each side of the bed. The men were very moved that they could be there during his final moments.

The lawyer was very excited to come to the hospital.

The lawyer finally spoke up and said, sir, what made you choose both of us? The minister mustered up some strength and said, Jesus died between two sinners and that's the way I want to go.

Hold up your Bible. Say it like you mean it. This is my Bible. I am what it says I am. I have what it says I have. I can do what it says I can do.

Today I will be taught the Word of God. I boldly confess. My mind is alert. My heart is receptive. I will never be the same. In Jesus' name, God bless you.

I want to talk to you today about the anointing of ease. We all go through seasons that are more difficult than others.

Seasons where we are working hard but not making much progress. Maybe in a relationship you are doing your best but it still seems stagnant.

There are seasons in our finances where it is one struggle after another. We take one step forward and it seems like two steps backwards.

If we are not careful, we will lose our enthusiasm and think this is just the way life is. I am always going to struggle in my marriage, Joel.

I am always going to struggle raising this child. Life is just hard. And yes, there are seasons that we have to stand strong and do the right thing even though it is difficult.

But don't make the mistake of settling there and thinking that is the way it is always going to be. Jesus said, my yoke is easy and my burden is light.

There is something called the anointing of ease. When you step into this anointing, what was difficult, all of a sudden becomes easy.

Things you used to struggle with are not a struggle anymore. There is a supernatural grace, a favor that lightens the load and takes the pressure off.
