It is a different Anfield rap this week.

I am Neil Atkinson and rather than talk about the week by week fortunes of Liverpool Football

Club or even take the long view.

What we are going to talk about is the way in which this season has unfolded for all of us.

And by that what I mean is the loss of football that we've all had to live through across the course of the last 12 months

wherever we are in the world if you're a regular match go and then obviously you haven't been able to do that

but supporters clubs bars have been shut as well. The idea of coming to Liverpool

occasionally has disappeared. So we want to talk about that impact in a really

honest way and to do that in front of me to start with I've got John Gibbons,

Kathy Long and Gareth Roberts. Moving along then we'll have Martin Fitzgerald,

Adam Smith and Steve Brown. Mel Reddy from the point of view of her work and her job.

I've got Juliet Jake's to join us to talk about it from the point of view of another

side and a side that's having a very successful season in Norwich City and then we will be back

with Gareth with Kathy and with John to look ahead But we will start off Kathy talking about the way in which it's

impacted all of us and you sent quite a nice email really when I pinged over what we were going to

talk about here to mention how difficult the disconnect has been for you.

You know, you're based day by day in London, but you get up to see a lot of games home and away and you've been left completely

disconnected from that life. Yeah it's really strange you know last season was just about getting over the line wasn't it?

You know it was just about let's just win this thing, you know, by hook or by crock, it doesn't matter, even not being there at the time. I don't think it really worried me that much. It seemed like they were just, you know, there were bigger things to play. This season though, I really,

at the start of the season I really felt it. You know, the fixtures are out and suddenly like, it doesn't matter. Like, you know, our lives used to be planned around, like, you know, when you're going up to Liverpool, who are you going to see, you know, who you're traveling with, you know, what you're doing on the other weekends, you're going to the away game, all of that, and then suddenly it was just like there was literally nothing in the diary, you know, there was
