I'll use our age broadly because you are younger than me so I'll be generous towards

myself but of people who are our age it's hard really to genuinely quantify the importance of

Gerard Touli A to our Liverpool support and growing up lives.

Yeah, obviously it's pretty fresh this as we're recording but yeah I was I was just saying off there then

he's like the first I remember Roy Evans being manager I remember going the

match while Roy Evans was manageable who they sort of the manager that took my heart a little bit, you know,

and like just the transformation of the club really from one that was that was competitive under Evans I think you know we finished I think I think we finished

Thayd a lot under Roy and but Gerard brought us in line with what was happening in line with what was happening at Manchester United

comes a fair game and just transforms in the way we were because Liverpool

although you know the gaps between winning titles and stuff at that time wasn't as big and that was never really a conversation.

Manchester and I were obviously the emerging force in terms of just winning back-to-back titles all the time

when he was first the manager and there was

clearly a problem at Liverpool on and off the pitch we were being left in the past and

he halted that straight away quite ruthlessly I must say like in terms of if you didn't if you didn't meet the standards of what Gerard and visits for

Liverpool football club you were gone and I mean what a journey it was with him. I think obviously 2001 was a great time and it was my first time really of remembering Liverpool winning trophies you know we won the
