In January of 1932, an Irishman named Michael Maloy was living in New York City.

He was a mysterious man and not much was known about him,

but he did something that would leave a lasting legacy.

As a result, he'd come to be known as Iron Mike, Mike the Durable and the Juggernaut.

So who was Iron Mike? What happened to him?

And what earned him his amazing nicknames?

That's what we'll be talking about on this episode of Jimmy Aiken's Mysterious World.

This will be a two-part story and it is indeed an amazing story for a whole bunch of reasons.

Today, we'll be introducing Iron Mike Maloy and next Friday we'll be telling you about what happened to his friends.

Also, this is one of our true crime episodes. I don't do too many of these because

they sometimes aren't as family-friendly as most of the mysteries we cover, but we do do true crime occasionally.
