I'm Brian Bergera. I'm Byron Marin. And for this episode's featured attraction, we try to get the scoop on the scoops to discuss the amazing adventures of Spider-Man and Universal's Islands of Adventure. And joining us with webs, what the fuck

0:26.8

does this mean, right? Joining us with webs on the web is none other than Tyler Pew from the

0:32.8

YouTube channel, The Pew 2. I don't know what I was thinking when I was writing that.

1:12.3

All that aside, Spider-Man.

1:19.8

When we have a guest come on the show, we do always ask them to name a couple rides they'd like to cover.

1:20.4

And this was on your list, Tyler.

1:21.7

Why Spider-Man?

1:23.6

When I think about the first time I ever went to Islands of Adventure, I remember just being blown away by this new, because I believe Spider-Man was one of the first ride vehicles and one of the first rides tend to integrate, like, the 3D technology with a moving vehicle.

1:42.5

I remember just being blown away by it.

1:44.4

And then sometime later, when it got its refurbishment,

1:47.8

I went back and I was just like,

1:49.0

oh, this ride is 15 years old and it's still incredible.

1:53.5

We'll talk a little bit about this later,

1:55.2

but it's one of those weird things where it was a ride

1:57.4

that invented the technology and is still the best version of it.

2:21.9

Absolutely. Every time I find myself in Marvel, like I have to get on, I have to get on Spider- Oh, it's so good. I think they're still trying to capture the magic that they, or the lightning in the bottle they found with this one. There's theories as to why that happened. I read a couple of interviews with some of the universal creative team of why that might be the case. They didn't like directly allude to the fact that this is the best version, but they, they alluded to the fact of why this has stood the test of time.

2:26.6

But let's go ahead and jump into some first impressions here. Tyler, do you remember the first

2:30.4

time you got on this, Ryan? I was trying to think about this. So it would have been

2:34.6

sometime in the early, like, I would say 2002, 2003-ish, because when I was growing up, my dad had this

2:45.9

that he just didn't, he didn't want to go to the fairs. Like, so if the county fair came into
