Summary

It's not something that people want to talk about. We choose to ignore the science and stats as we top up our glasses with Prosecco or head to the bar for another round. We never stop to take in the truth. The actual facts about Alcohol and Cancer.

Today, Vic and Hamish find out how alcohol causes cancer, whether or not it's just extreme drinkers that get it (spoiler alert - light and moderate drinkers can too!) their own experiences of family and friends diagnosis and how, as a society, we choose to ignore the scary fact that alcohol is a class A carcinogen, Thats right people! sorry to be the bearers of bad news! It sits right next to its good old mates, Cigarettes, Asbestos and ...... wait for it.....Radiation.

As you may know, these two are no Huberman's so today they have invited an expert on that has had first hand, lived experience of cancer, Kathryn Elliott. Kathryn was a binge drinker that believes her type of breast cancer was directly linked to her alcohol consumption.

It's a not so witty but very necessary episode of Sober Awkward. Trigger warning for those that have experienced cancer.
