Welcome everybody to the Untold Story. I'm Martha McCallum. It is great to have you with us, as always.

One of the things that has obviously been on everyone's minds lately with a lot of the emergence

and technology and AI and some of these programs that are considered scary even by the people

who create them.

I'm very glad to be joined today by Jamie Metzell, who is a leading futurist, one of the good thinkers

of our time, I think, who really evaluates what's

going on. This is the seventh book that he has written, and it's called the AI-10 Commandments,

a new moral code for humanity. And interestingly, it's written by Jamie Metzell and ChatGBT-G-T-5.

I imagine a lot of things have been written by a little bit by Chet, GBT these days, but you're maybe one of the first who's actually co-authored a book with this AI program. Jamie, welcome. It's great to have you here. Congratulations. Thank you so much. On the new book, your seventh. Why the AI Ten Commandments? What inspired you to write this book, Jamie?

Well, you said it right, Martha.

There are a lot of people who were afraid of AI and for good reason, and we're seeing stories of AI doing harm.

But I also think there's a really positive story.

If we can all come together, there's a positive story of what we can do with AI.

And so I gave a big talk this last summer, and I was talking about this, about AI and spirituality.

And can AI see us collectively the way the Artemis two astronauts saw us from space?

And in the talk and in the book, I talk about my process of collaborating with GPT-5

to do a full analysis of the entirety of human recorded history

and all of our different religious, spiritual, moral, and ethical traditions to come up with

ten principles based on everything and all of us and the best of humanity that if followed by

everybody would lead to the greatest amounts of peace and happiness and human flourishing.

And the list of Ten Commandments that we came up was really beautiful. And it wasn't the AI like

Martians, alien Martians telling us what to do. It was mining the best of our common humanity.
