And I was wondering if you could start off by giving us a sense of what the NASA program and space travel was in the early 80s.

Well, in the early 80s, the intent was to provide a international space station eventually in orbit and that space station

would be essentially assembled by using the space shuttle.

The space shuttle also had some other commitments to make.

And one of those was that the administration in 1986, in fact, declared that the nation was going to go on to a shuttle-only policy. what that meant that all of the other expendable launch
