And I'm Matt Mullins.

We're two ministers and two buddies who love the stories of the Bible.

We want to tell you about them.

And today's stories, Todd, these are in the transition period for King David between

when he was a young man rising through the ranks under the leadership of King Saul.

And then later when he becomes a king himself in between then is really a harrowing journey

for a man coming into his own.

That's right.

Matt, we began that discussion some in the last episode, that was episode 190.

And you gave a great summary of really the beginning parts of first Samuel and Samuel

the prophet connecting with David, the soon to be King.

And you shared about some of the issues with the existing King, King Saul.

You shared that Saul, his greatest characteristic was that he was very tall.

Very tall man.

I'm proud that he's very tall.

I'm not very, very tall.

But I would like for people to maybe one day, if I'm in heaven or maybe I'm retiring from

something, I don't know.

The people would think Todd's legacy was something more than just a bodily feature.
