My name is Andrea and this is Adult Child.

Welcome back to Adult Child, where we take a deep dive into the impact of growing up

in a dysfunctional family.

For any new listeners, hi, I am Andrea.

I am an adult child, I am a recovering alcoholic, and I am a broken, picker, syndrome survivor.

And actually, do I want to share this, okay, I'll share this.

So I may or may not have a date tomorrow night, well, it's actually like a coffee mean

greet.

He's from an app and to be completely honest, I don't think that I'm going to meet my

person on an app, but you know, you got to take the car out of the garage every once

in a while so the battery doesn't go dead.

It's been about six months since I've been on a date.

And as far as I know, he does not know about the podcast.

You know, I did a Google search, I put all of the information that's in my profile

to see if the podcast would show up and it does not because then that person would literally

know every single thing there is to know about me, but I have had that problem in the

past where I just go ahead and tell them everything there is to know about me on a first date.

I'm going to try not to do that, you know, as you guys know, I am unapologetically authentic.

I tend to get real deep, real personal, real quick, which most of the time, I think, is

a blessing as an asset, but not so much on a first date.
