The ACLU took the stand in the Johnny Depp Amber Heard trial yesterday.

A CLU stands for American Civil Liberties Union,

and they had some pretty damning testimony against Amber Heard.

She has given them $1.3 million, which is impressive.

However, she promised in 2016 to donate $3.5 million of her divorce settlement from Johnny Depp.

So we had talked about this forever ago when the divorce settlement happened that she was going to donate this money.

So again, $1.3 million has been donated, and half of that was donated on behalf of her at the time, boyfriend Elon Musk.

So she didn't even give the full $1.3 million.

She gave a little more than half.

Hey, I didn't even know that there was an Elon Musk dating situation going on there.

I didn't even think I realized that.

And the second thing is, so while this doesn't have a lot to do with the case, I'm guessing like the lawyers are just trying to chip away at her credibility.

Totally.

And also, we're still ACLU staffers ghost wrote that Washington Post op ed piece that's at the center of this entire trial.

That's the piece that Johnny Depp is suing Amber Heard over for defamation.

So she claimed to be a survivor of domestic violence.

They pitched it on her behalf, timed the release of it for her upcoming film Aquaman.

So it's unclear whether this was a quid pro quo, a quid pro quo between Amber and the ACLU with them helping her in exchange for the sizeable donation she promised from the divorce element.
