In this podcast, I want to talk to you about arrhythmias and what causes this condition.

What is arrhythmia? - Arrhythmias involve the electrical system of the heart. It's the heart that is no longer in a regular rhythm. One of the big problems with arrhythmias is that there is not a lot of emphasis on the person’s diet.

The whole system depends on things called electrolytes. Electrolytes are electrically charged minerals that allow the muscles to contract and relax, and the nerve to transmit communication throughout the nervous system.

The connection of the heart with the vagus nerve is a part of the autonomic nervous system (ANS). This connection is what controls the rhythm of the heart.

• The ANS needs vitamin B1 (refined carbohydrates deplete B1)

• Stress can affect the ANS

• Various stimulants can affect the ANS
