Summary

Mike Winkelmann is an American graphic designer. In May 2007 he drew an image of his Uncle Joe, called it Uber Jay (Mike's nickname for his uncle) and shared it online. The next day he made another image and once again posted it online. He did the same thing the next day, and then the next day. Last week Christies Auction House sold one of his paintings for $70 Million dollars. On this episode we talk about how that happened and what it means for the creator economy. Watch the episode here: https://youtu.be/Ptk6P7Lc6rs Learn more about your ad choices. 0:55.8

episodes were easier for us to make week to week. And we found pretty decent viewership.

1:02.2

Like the average viewership was high. The average view duration was high. And we were growing a

1:08.3

lot in subscribers, which was exciting. But we realized that our main channel, which we've put so much work into,

1:12.9

was kind of just sitting there stagnant.

1:14.7

And one of the reasons is because the primary show that we would do on our main channel

1:18.3

is the breakdown.

1:19.2

If you've been following us for a while, then you're familiar with the breakdown.

1:22.5

And it's just a hard show to make.

1:24.8

There's a lot of effort that goes into that show, which makes it really cool and really fun to make, but definitely not capable of making that on a regular
