is one that I attribute a ton of my personal success to, and it is one of my life mottos.

Never be the one to say no to yourself. This has been the driving force

behind so many of the opportunities that I have had in my life when I was a teenager and I wanted

to write a weekly newspaper column. I could have told myself, that is insane. Why would they

give a teenager a column? But instead, I told myself, they can say no if they want to,

but I should at least give them that opportunity because what if they say yes? And they gave me

the column, which ended up being nationally syndicated and it gave me a huge boost in my writing
