On today's episode, it's mailbag time. We'll get to your mailbag questions. We're going to talk

about a few quarterback situations where schools either naming their starter or it's clear somebody is in front.

And they involve some, really, is that guy still around kind of names?

First, Ralph, the CFP meetings are going on this week, where the commissioners come meet in Dallas for a couple days.

And, of course, the topic on everybody's mind, how big is the playoff going to get?

So what are you hearing?

Well, mostly what I'm hearing is we're probably not going to get an answer to that anytime soon.

I think that's probably going to go into the season, into the fall. They have a deadline to inform ESPN,

much like they did last year. Hey, what's the size of the playoff? What is the format going to be in

27? You have to let us know by December 1st. My guess is, as we get closer to December 1st, that will be resolved.

I don't know if much has changed. Our pal Ross Delinger at Yahoo mentioned yesterday in a column

that this conversation has moved to a different room, or at least a different Zoom room.

And that is, there's a, you know, the president's White House roundtable on

college sports a couple of weeks back, maybe about a month back now, created some committees

to talk about issues with college sports because God knows we don't have enough committees

talking about issues, issues with college sports over the last five years.
