Welcome to the NFL fantasy football podcast where we finally decided to write back. It's me, your man, M.G. Marcus Grant, joined by Michael F. Lorial out there in the ether. Well, it's not the whole cast of specialists anymore. We got Ryan Dennis, who is producing the show because someone gave the crazy idea to Randy to take the day off. What?

0:45.1

So Randy is off today and Hytham is still sitting in and hanging out and making sure that we don't completely submarine the network with what we do here. But Florio, now that we are a few days removed from the end of Wild Card weekend, have you been able to take a breath and exhale after your Buffalo Bills decided to play with their food and very nearly choked on it against the Miami Dolphins.

0:59.1

Oh, man.

0:59.9

So watching, even after the fumble, Josh Allen's fumble that was returned for a touchdown, I was like, they're going to win this game.

1:06.2

It wasn't until the dolphins had that drive where their offense, because the offense had done nothing to that point. When they drove down the field and scored, I was like, oh, my God. Like, this might actually happen. So, yeah, I'm very relieved now. It took me a day or two to kind of get over that. Your Niners, I mean, they made it interesting for a half and then just blew the doors out. Yeah, there were there were text messages flying about like, we should have seen this coming. Brock Purdy is off. You know, the weather. It was like so many things of like, we should have totally seen this coming. They're settling for field goals. And then the second half, they just went on an avalanche and everything was fine. And we, it was, I'll say this, it was nice, having my team get their game out of the way first, uh, and not have to stress out the rest of the weekend. So that part was very cool. This weekend's going to be different because they are the last game of the weekend. So now I'm going to have to like really stress about that. It's awesome. When your team wins the first game, it's the worst when your team plays in that first game and loses because if you're like, we're my team even in the playoffs? I don't know. Right. Right. Exactly. We are going to dive into what happened over the wildcard weekend. We'll talk a little bit about the teams that lost and we can focus on them because the teams that won, there's more to talk about.

Of course, we will preview the divisional round as well.

2:21.6

But first, I do want to mention you may have noticed.

2:24.8

We haven't been here for the last couple of weeks.

2:26.7

And that was not completely by design.

2:29.9

So just to peel back behind the curtain, originally the plan had been to come back, do a pod to wrap up the fantasy regular season.

2:38.7

And then we were going to take the break out.

2:40.1

We were always going to take last week off.

2:41.5

That was always in the cards.

2:42.8

But after the unfortunate circumstances with Damar Hamlin collapsing on the field against the Bengals,

2:49.8

we certainly felt it wasn't right to do a pod

2:51.9

at that point. So we ended up being more of a two-week hiatus than just a one-week break. But

2:57.3

we're certainly excited and glad and thrilled and all those positive adjectives to see all

the great news about Hamlin as he continues to progress in his recovery. So our continued prayers and thoughts and wishes out to his family and his loved ones as he
