Summary

I created this challenge a while back, and the traction it got was surprising! So after several requests to revisit it, here we are. The No Challenge is a solid way to develop greater confidence and self-sufficiency, as well as clear out some of those nice guy (or nice girl) behaviors you may be having trouble with. Like most challenges and prompts I offer to listeners, clients, and Alliance members, it's straightforward, but not necessarily simple. Listen in. Did you enjoy the podcast? If so, please leave us a review on Apple Podcasts, Stitcher, or Podchaser. It helps us get into the ears of new listeners, expand the ManTalks Community, and help others find the self-leadership they’re looking for. Are you looking to find purpose, navigate transition, or fix your relationships, all with a powerful group of men from around the world? Check out The Alliance and join me today.  Check out our Facebook Page or the Men's community. All right, team, welcome. I am Connor Beaton, and today I'm going to share with you a 14-day challenge

0:05.5

that you can do in order to deepen your connection to your confidence, to break your nice guy

0:12.6

patterns, and to ultimately be more attractive. It's very simple on paper and arguably much more

0:20.1

challenging to execute for most men in reality.

0:23.8

The 14-day challenge is this. For 14 days, you are going to say no. You are actively,

0:31.7

intentionally, and consciously going to look for opportunities for you to say no to your partner, your girlfriend,

0:42.0

your wife, your friends, your family, your colleagues, your work environment, the people that

0:47.5

you interact with online and in real life. Pretty simple, straightforward challenge, but I'm going to just talk a little bit about

0:55.6

why it is so important for you as a man to say no and to practice saying no daily, not only for

1:03.1

your purpose and your clarity and your direction, but for your relationship. And secondly,

1:08.5

I'm going to give you some tactical pieces that will help you in

1:12.6

executing on this challenge properly that will allow you to have the greatest success possible.

1:18.4

So first off, why should you say no? Well, there's the very simple and basic reasons that your yes

1:27.2

and your no are valuable information on the direction that you're

1:32.5

going in your life. When you say yes, you make a decision and that choice, that yes, that decision

1:38.5

that you put out into the world gives other people information and that information informs them about what you like, what you want,

1:46.7

what you're willing to tolerate, the direction that you're moving, what you ultimately enjoy

1:52.0

or desire or will put up with. And when you say no, you also give equally valuable information

1:59.7

about who you are as a man, what you don't want, what you don't

2:05.0

enjoy, what you're not willing to tolerate, what you won't put up with in your life or in

2:10.6

your relationship, what you're not willing to engage with in your life. And so your know gives a whole

2:17.4

subset of information about who you are,
