| 0:34.9 | No matter what it is, what do you guys think is the highest ranking on this list as far as the most commonly committed crimes, just your average person crime. This isn't murder or anything like that. I'll say DUI. DoI. I like it. I mean, I don't. I'm trying to think of something a little bit more severe than littering, but just something kind of petty. And are we saying, like, get arrested for? Yes, you can be arrested and charged for this. These are criminal charges. Like, shoplifting. Shoplifting, okay, I dig. And I guess I'll, like, jaywalking? Jaywalking. Here we go. The 10 most commonly committed crimes, number 10 on the list, criminal damage or vandalism, willful or malicious destruction of property. I've been guilty, though. I mean, not in my adult life. Right. But certainly, in my younger days, up through the early 20s, definitely. Can definitely happen in a domestic. That's what I'm thinking. You know, like smashing your slashing tires. Absolutely. Smashing windows out here. There was actually just the last week that at the auction that I was running at, selling cars. There was one that rolled through that there was clearly painted over. Somebody had keyed. And this guy was described as a D according to his car. Ah, okay. That's what I'm thinking. Like, he cheated. She's a whore. Yeah. Like you write write that on a car. Like, it's not good. Yeah, no, it is not. No, it is not. An unlawful attack with the intent to cause severe bodily injury at number nine, aggravated assault. What puts the aggravated in front of assault? I'm mad. I don't know. Because you'll hear assault. Right. |
| 2:04.8 | But you're aggravated assault and it seems like, I believe that carries the worst charge. I'm not sure. Is that just like getting in a fist fight, like a random bar or |
| 2:08.6 | tailgate? Often deemed a felony where a person attempts to inflict serious bodily injury |
| 2:12.9 | on another usually involving a weapon or behavior likely to cause death or major harm. So assault is we are throwing punches. Aggravated assault, I have grabbed a pool cue and I'm smashing in the head. I'm guessing. Right. Okay, so simple assault is typically involves threats or minor injuries, your bruises or scrapes or backhand you kind of a thing without a deadly weapon. Aggravated assault says requires a weapon or results in severe bodily harm. That one, I think, there's gray area. Okay. How severe is it, have I cut, you know, is it a scratch or is it a cut? Is it a gash? What is it the cut? Is it an artery or... Am I allowed to give you a bruise that's two inches in diameter without it being severe? Or like I know, not a lot. I've known stories of people get in a bar fight and like you hit somebody and then they fall backwards, split their head open. Sure. Yeah. Different charge. Right. You hit on a bar, you hit on the bar stool and it, yeah. Yeah. Exactly. The most common committed crimes. Number eight.ers Representing Facts to Deprive Others of Property |
