The final out there is the Mets beat the twins 12 to 3. It was Mark Viantos, snapping a two-two tie with a bloop RBI single in the eighth, as the Mets win the eighth for the eighth time this season. Here was Carlos Mendoza collectively got it done. Clay Holmes through seven innings of two-run ball.

All was good.

Great effort overall.

I wasn't easy, but I thought we played a pretty good game today.

And for Vientos, maybe a little bit of a sigh of relief getting that one?

mean it's crazy thing you know things start spinning into this. A lot going on. So just to feel the win again and just see everybody smiling, it's a great feeling. Luke Weaver got the final four outs. He actually earned the win. Is the weight off your shoulders now? I don't want to say there was a lot of weight, right? I mean, we already carry a lot of weight. I think we have pushed so hard to just simply try to give everything we can. And sometimes

that's just like not good enough. Like it's a weird way to look at it, but the harder you try,

a lot of times, the more you fail. And so that's the good news. The Mets win the game. They snap the losing streak.

The bad news would be Francisco Lendor is hurt on the day that Juan Soto comes back. Here was Carlos Mendoza. That's what we're dealing with right now. You know, can sit here and make excuses. It's all part of it. We lost Soto, and we had a hard time. Now we potentially be dealing with losing another really good player, and we got to figure it out.

Lindor was two for two last night with an RBI single in the first but left after scoring on the Francisco Alvarez RBI double later in the game.
