Mets finally break the losing streak.

Juan Soto comes back, but Francisco Lindorr leaves with injury, a calf as well. So maybe he's out as long as Juan Soto was, hopefully less. But with the calf, you know, they're going to take some time with it. So prior to the game, Juan Soto, of course, with his return, he meets with the media, and someone asked him a question,

I'm sure Jerry will have it later, but someone asked him the question, have you been in contact,

have you talked to the team during the losing streak? And he goes, no, not at all. They have

been on the road most of the time. Now, at first blush, I'm like, that's just weird to me that

he hasn't had any contact with them.

But the more I thought about it, and let me know if you think this is a possibility.

Juan Soto speaks great English.

He's really, like he is bilingual, very, very well.

But there could have been something maybe just lost a little bit in the sense of like, did you talk to the team when you were guys were together? Like if the question were phrased, did you text any of the guys during the losing streak? Did you call any of the guys during the losing streak? Well, he wasn't with the team. That's the thing. But this is what I'm saying. That's why he answered that way. So I'm thinking maybe if he had someone had asked, did you text any of the guys during

a losing streak? He might have answered differently than, no, I didn't talk to the team because

they were on the road. Because the fact that he said they were on the road made me think that

he interpreted that as like, did he stand up in front of the team and talk

to the team in person? Because he knows just as well as anybody that it's 2026 and he could

FaceTime these guys, text these guys, call these guys, whatever he wants. So the fact that he

answered it in that way made me think that he thought he was being asked,

did you stand up in front of the team and talk to the team?

And he's like, no, of course not.

They were on the road and I was here.

Well, he got hurt on April 3rd against the Giants, right?

That was against the Giants in San Francisco.
