Susie Larson Live. Always honored to get to spend this time with you. In fact, I look forward to

bringing you conversations every single day that hopefully inspire you in your faith walk,

the deep in your understanding of God's Word, and that heightens your awareness of his very real

presence in your life. Well, you know this if you listen often enough. Every month we have our

good friend, Dan Bennett, on the show for what we call a faith perspective from the Hill.

Dan serves as a director for government affairs for the ACLJ. And I just want to say at the outset

of these conversations that, you know, my show mainly focuses on deeper life,

faith issues. I rarely venture into the world of politics because we have other shows that do

that. But I don't want to pretend that the issues of today aren't pertinent to our faith. They are.

And I personally don't know anyone I trust more to bring us a humble biblical perspective on the

issues of our day. That said, I do know that we have

Republicans, Democrats and libertarians who listen to the show, and I'm asking for grace and humility

and civility as we venture into these topics. And, you know, I think we'd all agree that these

are very polarizing times. And I think as believers, no matter where you land publicly, politically, I think you would agree, if you're reading

the scripture, that what comes out of our heart matters very much, what goes into our heart,

matters very much.

How we steward, our attitudes, our angst, the times is on us.

And really, we do give an account someday.

So there are Christians who are jumping with the claws

out and reacting in harsh ways and I know that's often a compilation of stress of unresolved hurt
