I realize that you are all on your way to wherever it is you're going and you may never hear this.

But I'm sending a tiny sampler of what I have in mind for this Thanksgiving show that I have

pleaded you to participate in with me. I just put together two minutes of recordings that I've

gotten so far and also recordings I asked friends to send me

just so that I can, I don't know, give you a sense for what I'm looking for, or just, you know,

the way that the show works. So here is two minutes of sound about Thanksgiving and I hope you get where you're going safely and have a great time.

And I hope you send me some recordings in the next few days.

We have both sides coming into town, my husband's sister, my brother, their families, three nieces, my parents.

I don't know anyone up here. I don't have any family up here. So I usually get some

Chinese takeout and maybe go watch a movie. And that tends to be my Thanksgiving.

You know, a lot of the dating apps let people sort of update their location. So if you were to go

down to New York City for the holidays, suddenly you have this whole new pool of potential dates showing up on your dating app.

Okay, it's not in your apple pie. It's in the dough, and it's just four tablespoons, and there's like 700 tablespoons of butter in it.

And I'm glad that my parents and I are going to be at my cousins this year. Because for the last several years, we have spent Thanksgiving alone.

And when it's just the three of us, my parents and me, sitting there in their dining room,

you can just feel that you're like looking down the barrel of passing time and feel all the dead relatives who are no longer there.

My daughter, who's 16, is in the nutcracker. She does the nutcracker every year.

Suddenly there's this wave of out-of-towners who are like, hey, I'm up in Vermont for the holidays.

Hit me up if you want to go out on a date.

She's got four feet.
