Hi, this is Erica. This is actually an ask, an ask email or show. It's Thanksgiving week.

It's Monday today when I'm recording this. Thanksgiving here in the United States.

And I have always wanted to make a show about Thanksgiving with you, with listeners,

listeners as reporters, reporting in from, you know, traffic outside

Philadelphia or, you know, the upstairs guest room at your aunt's house, wherever you are.

I think it is fair to say that Thanksgiving is awesome. It's a great holiday. We love it. It can be very relaxing,

and it can also be difficult and exhausting. And sometimes it's all of, in fact, I think often,

it's all of these things at once or in a single day. So I want to make a show about all of the things that Thanksgiving is.

So here's my request.

Anyone out there who is willing, I would love for you to record a voice memo on your phone like I'm doing right now.

You can tell me the story of your holiday, the big sweep of it

and or just tiny, tiny banal details about it. You do not have to speak in complete sentences.

You don't have to organize it or think it all out. It doesn't have to be funny or important. And you don't have to organize it or think it all out it doesn't have to be funny or important and you don't

have to provide context so you're telling a story about someone in your family your uncle bill just assume

that we already know bill you don't need to give us backstory or context and you also don't need to use

real names.

And I'm not going to make anything that is mean.

I just want to make something that's human and that we can recognize as Thanksgiving.

If you're willing to record some of the holiday itself,

if the ambience, the TV or the cooking or the dinner

or the greeting at the door, that kind of thing.

I would love some of that sound also. I'm hoping to get all of the recordings in by Sunday,
