I'm on the phone with Ashvin, and today we are discussing Thanksgiving from 2023, directed by Eli Roth, written by Eli Roth, and Jeff Rendell, starring Nell Verlack, Jalen Thomas

Alive for 2023, Patrick Dempsey. In this film, a group of high schoolers in Plymouth,

Massachusetts is stocked by a mass killer dressed as a pilgrim. And if you're

new to the show, we're going to talk some spoiler-free background info on this movie for the first

15 or 20. And then we'll take a little break, play some transition music, and that's when we are going

into spoiler mode, where we walk through the plot in detail and review it as we go and then rate the film on a scale of

zero to five.

Ashwin, were you excited for this movie?

Yeah, I was pretty excited for it.

It wasn't on my radar at the beginning of the year, but I remember seeing that 2007 trailer

in Grindhouse and really being into it.

And yeah, when I found out this was being turned into a film a few months ago,

I got pretty excited.

And I feel like we've seen a few of Eli Roth's movies over the years,

and I've come to like him as a director.

But how about you?

I have two.

Like, I'm kind of surprised by how much I like Eli Roth's movies for the most part.

Mostly hostile in the Green Inferno.

Like, cabin fever I enjoyed.
